About

Surrounded by mountain views and rolling hills, cris crossed by creeks and springs, Cross Creek Farm is where we call home.

This land hasn’t always been the farm that you will see now. It was once covered in trees and thickets. My husband bought part of this property in the 1980’s and has spent the last 40 years steadily clearing for pastures and hayland, adding adjoining tracks as they became available, and raising cattle along the way. Today we are farming 320 acres at this location.

Over the years, we have both shared the love of horses. I grew up riding various draft crosses and he enjoyed walking horses and percherons. We decided that we wanted to spend more time working the farm with horses. His choice were Clydesdales, mine Shires. So we got both! Time slips away very fast! We haven’t been able to utilize the horses the way we planned back then, but we decided to breed a few along the way. Now we breed and sell registered Clydesdales and Shires in addition to cattle. We have met many wonderful and interesting folks along the way. Many thanks to those lifelong horse friends!

Our next chapter includes opening the farm to wedding couples. We were married here amongst our closest family and friends. We want to share our heaven on earth to those starting their new lives together. What better place is there to start a marriage than being surrounded by God’s grace?
